Dodge Builds 25,000th Viper

Chrysler announced today that the 25,000th Dodge Viper had been built. All Dodge Vipers are built in Chrysler's Conner Avenue Assembly Plant.

The latest Vipers are powered by 8.4L V10 engines yielding 600hp that rocket the car through the 1/4 mile in just 11.6 seconds. Top speed is in excess of 200 MPH.

How much longer will the Viper continue to be produced? Amidst corporate financial troubles and ever-stiffer competition like the new Corvette ZR-1, the Viper's future is uncertain.
